A born and bred Toowoomba local, Joe earned a Bachelor’s degree before setting off to explore the world. He managed major hotel groups both overseas and in Australia before returning home—where he met his wife, Laura, and discovered a passion for renovating homes. That hands-on experience kick-started his real estate career and gave him a solid understanding of what buyers are really looking for.
But Joe’s story doesn’t stop there. A few years back, he launched a quirky fundraiser called Jump 4 Joy, where people could raise money to throw someone they know out of a plane—for charity, of course! It took off (literally), with schools jumping on board and even a live parachute landing to open the Toowoomba Show in 2013, covered by WIN News. Turns out, students were very keen to send their teachers skydiving!
Joe and Laura went on to raise over $40,000 for Community Projects Africa, using the funds to help build a women’s hostel in Tanzania. They even spent part of their honeymoon working on the project—an experience Joe describes as one of the most meaningful of his life.
